I started CrossFit in 2012 shortly after moving to Rochester and watching it on ESPN for the first time. I grew up doing sports, but, after college I lacked motivation to workout and when I did work out I lacked direction in what I should be doing.
CrossFit was a perfect fit! I loved to team atmosphere while competing against yourself! I loved the community that being apart of the gym brought and getting to meet and know many people. I had my first son about a year or so after starting CrossFit and after having him became much more consistent in coming to the gym. This allowed me to get in the best shape of my life which is very counter cultural. It then prepared me for son number two and I was able to stay with the workouts all through pregnancy and made the recovery after a c-section faster as well. I’m due to have son number three and CrossFit has been a huge influence in my abilities as a mother and prep for and recovery after birth.
I still love doing competitions although I’m currently doing it for general fitness. I love helping others in whatever their goals are and seeing people meet and exceed their goals is my favorite part!!
I have a bachelors in Social Work and my level one certification. I love to help people body mind and soul 😉
